Idaho Vacation

When I woke up every morning for a month to this view it is hard not to miss living in Idaho. It truly is one of the most beautiful parts of the world. We had a great trip seeing family, fishing, and just relaxing. Here are a few shots of the fun we had.July idaho Vacation 2010 (85)

Memorial Day Festivities

Memorial Day weekend started off with a dirt and worm cake to celebrate Randy’s birthday. The kids loved the idea of eating dirt and worms and it was delicious. Then on Memorial Day, to continue a Balmforth tradition  Randy and Drew ran in a 1 mile race and I ran a 5K on Grosse Ile. Drew and I both beat our times from last year. It is always a good feeling to be improving! We also went swimming at our friends pool and picked strawberries from our garden. And yesterday the kids and I discovered this robin nest in the tree in our front yard. Drew wanted me to get the eggs down so he could looked at them. I told him that was not a good idea. In the second picture of the nest you can see the birds used a Ziploc bag when they created the nest. Very resourceful!003 004 008 010 011 012 013 016 022 024 025 027 037 039 040 041 044 045 049 050 051 055 056 May 001
